When it comes to diet and weight loss and exercise we can all be vulnerable to acts of self sabotage, so how do we convince our wicked sides to shape up?
When it comes to dieting, weight loss, exercise and drinking less, it is apparently all in the mind. Some therapists believe that for some, food and exercise is closely related to our emotional and psychological well being. There are some who resort to obsessive exercise and who obsess over diet. Writing in the Times newspaper, a series of therapists gave some tips and advice to help convince yourself to stick to weight loss exercise, drink less and free yourself from bad habits for a healthier life.

And if you're not achieving your weight loss exercise goals because of over drinking, you're merely digging yourself into a bigger hole. Your unconscious mind uses alcohol to help you feel better about yourself. You can change your drinking habits by becoming more conscious of when you do drink - put your glass down, sip water between alcohol and put some strategies in place to break the habits
Weight Loss Exercise - Find the Motivation
When it comes to sticking to weight loss exercise, motivation is key. If you don't usually do weight loss exercise such as running or gym workouts, you can self sabotage yourself saying 'it's not you'. Feeling uncomfortable about weight loss exercise can stop you before you've even begun. Therapists recommend you 'think yourself fit' by giving yourself the role of being a fitter person. You don't have to hit the gym if you love country walking. Doing what you enjoy means you're upping your chances of sticking to your weight loss exercise regime.
