CONGRATULATIONS CLAIR!
Well done to June's member of the month Clair Banks, who has ditched buses and tubes in favour of getting on her feet and shifted half a stone in the process.

Hours spent travelling to and from work had left Clair Banks with absolutely no time at all to exercise and her body was starting to know about it.
Her energy levels had started to slip, her eating habits weren’t as good as they should have been and, as a result, she was a little bit heavier than she would have liked.
So when she received an email from Fitbug promising to help her to lose weight and increase her energy levels without having to make any major changes to her life, the idea suited her.
“I had signed up for a promotion on My Offers and I was receiving countless emails and promotions, but something about this one caught my eye.
“At the time, I didn’t have the time or the inclination to join a gym as I spent a lot of time travelling from Leeds to London for my job, but I knew it was time to do something to give me a pick me up.”
When she joined Fitbug at the end of March, her life was in major overhaul and the grey days out-numbered the blue and pink ones.
But by May it had all fallen into place as she realised how easy it was to walk rather than get on a bus or swapping tube lines for the last part of the journey.
“I now live in Watford and when I’m in our London office part of my tube journey is along the Thames. I realised that it didn’t take that much longer to get off and walk than go through the rigmarole of changing lines and it’s a lovely walk.
“I’ve also ditched the buses at the start and end of my journey and it’s made a real difference. Plus, because I am exercising I am eating better because I don’t want to ruin all my good work.
“In the last couple of months I have lost half a stone and I’ve been able to wear clothes that I haven’t been able to fit in for the last two summers. I have got so much more energy and I have found that I am sleeping so much better.
“As well as all the walking I have now joined a gym and I am going about three or four times a week, which I would never have had the confidence to have done before I joined the programme.”
So what advice does June’s member of the month have for fellow members?
“Never leave your Bug at home. I always find it so upsetting when I realise my steps aren’t going to count and I get really disappointed when I see it in my weekly newsletter.
“Personally, carrying my Bug incentivises me during the day and I like to look and see how I am getting on and do a bit more if necessary.”
